About

High Desert Observatory is an art education and fabrication studio based in Yucca Valley, California, founded by Emily Endo and Michael Endo. We offer desert-based classes, traveling workshops, and collaborative programs focused on glass, fragrance, textiles, craft, and regenerative design.

Our goal is to use hands-on learning and multisensory art to cultivate more attentive, reciprocal relationships with materials, place, and the natural world.

Our studio is located 14 miles north of Joshua Tree National Park and 30 miles north of Palm Springs.
